Metallica

I never really listened to Metallica before. And then, for some reason, when I started working here at the P-A-C, I began listening to Master of Puppets non-stop. I found that the music was perfect for programming; the wall-of-sound sound drowns out the constant politco-babble that surrounds me, and lulls me smiling into a proper code-trance.

So after wearing the Master of Puppets mp3s thin I decided to pick up another album. There was some controversy as to whether I should get Ride The Lightning or Kill Em All. I chose the former, and it kicks ass.

Anyhow, I picked up the album at Best Buy because until today Metallica was not available on the iTunes Music Store

Next paycheck I am going to reward Metallica by picking up another album…

  • Pablo, get the hell out of D.C., it sounds like it already has done irreversable damage to your hearing cortex brain thing.

  • nothing wrong with his brain thing - my little boy loves metallica - when we are driving around - which is pretty frequent -as daddy keeps the ipod - i channel surf and he pipes up his opinion - he really liked metallica's ONE - i dealt with it

  • "Darkness, imprisoning me,
    All that I see,
    Absolute horror,
    I cannot live,
    I cannot die,
    Trapped in myself,
    Body my holding cell"

Pablo's in D.C. and listening to this? Sounds perfect.

  • I was all over it in High School. Before they were cool. Now they're just sell outs...you gotta go old school, baby. Kill 'em all!
Garage Day revisted. They do a misfit cover of "Die Die Die my Darling.' It rules...

  • I think that Master of Puppets is a wonderful album.

The earlier stuff is great, but it seems to have more of the "If you wern't there when it came out, then you missed it." not to say it isn't powerful.

I think that And Justice for All is the perfect follow up to Master. Another wall of sound that will transport you away from any situation.

The driving force of the Drummer Lars, so much grabs you by the hair and drags you along.

I spent many many a middle school/ high school day deeply emmersed in Metal-licka.

I think some graffiti I saw in Poland sums it up well.........."Metallica O.K."

  • I remember the graffiti as

    Metallica O.K!
