You could say I resolved it by getting rid of it. The power port problem was getting to be so much more of a hassle.
The problem couldnt be solved by resoddering the plug but the whole sound card which the port was soddered to had to be replaced. AS far as the sleeping non awaking backlight I discovered the reboot in os9 trick way back.
Coming home manana cant wait.
