Killy - A Visual Guide

I haven't posted in a million years either because what i've been doing is so banal that trying to put it into words is useless, or (more likely) what i've been experiencing lately has filled my life to the brim. Not necessarily with work, but with an abstract exertion of living.

... but i have been taking snapshots. Even a few photos.

  • Nice work Killy! I look forward to seeing some more fotos, soon? Also, I think you may have have the "snapshots" linking to the "fotos" and the "fotos" linking to the "snapshots" - which is unsettling.

Just wondering, what is the difference between a snapshot and a photograph? Is it the amount of pre and/or post processing? Meaning, that a snapshot is neither pre-conceived, nor re-worked prior to presentation?

  • For the most part, you are correct. the snapshots are my daily pics i take with my sd-10 digital cam. the photographs are the black and white medium format pics.

but what's in a name? how much more artistic is a large leaf in front of hotel than a pic of my son on a swing? i guess, it is what it tells the viewer, or what it speaks about a universal? i know i've had this conversation before, but maybe i never answered the question.
