Saw Kung-Fu Panda

it was fun to watch at the movies for a few reasons. Unlike previous Dreamworks productions, this was not so dependent on current cultural events so the humor was different and fully appreciated by all the kids. There were about three occasions that I threw my head back and laughed that crazy belly laugh that comes out only when I can't help it. And the kid's laughter made the whole experience all the sweeter because I was laughing with them. The dialogue was still kind of raw, not as refined as the Pixar movies (which I totally LOVE) but nowhere near as crude as earlier DW films. There were a few action sequences that were really well done and fun all the way around and the story was imaginative and involved enough for all. I would have liked to see more background about the other characters, but I was certainly not dissapointed.
Thumbs up from Mommy me...

  • Saw KFP last night with the Todd and the Killy. I thought that the movie was really well done! The openning animation, in particular, was beautiful. The story was good. The dialogue was good. The animation was not bad. The voice-acting was good. The kung-fu was great. Just a fun movie all-around!!!
