E-mailing Movies

So we got this little canon powershot sd600 elph for christmas -- it's sooooo cute! takes movies and pics and is ultra-tiny... nice quality images, too. only thing i can't figure out is how to e-mail movies. the shortest movie i've taken so far is 1.5 minutes and is 169mb -- way too big to e-mail. what's a girl to do??!

  • You should definitely try to compress the movie first. If you have a mac, then try importing into iMovie and then exporting a compressed version..

After doing that, I think the best idea is to ... either ... put the movie up on a website and email the link to it, so that folks can download it.., or upload the movie to YouTube or Google Video...

  • Yeah, iMovie has an export to email feature. Sending attachments via email is never a pretty thing though. If it isn't a particularly private movie, posting it to YouTube is a good option from the standpoint of compatibility and usability. In stead of sending the the entire video, you just send a link to the YouTube page.
