request for feedback

so, i have been working on this sketch for a blog redesign for a little while and would like some feedback. it is not a very radical change because some people do not like fixed backgrounds, and others do not like really wide, left hand sidebars. but, not being one to take critcism personally i muttered vindictively and messed around with it a bit more.

your thoughts are greatly appreciated. even yours and yours.

  • There is something disconcerting about the right sidebar. is it too wide still? kill the red border. it seems like short posts will kinda mess up the layout, particularly with a photo involved (i.e. - the baby post). Also, shouldn't the chairjockey.com and the infernal title go together?

    another thing, comb your hair!

  • no, it is not too wide. which red border? that must be a testing thing that i forgot to get rid of. i have no control over people's posts or images, i jsut try to accomodate them. i do not see any particular reason why chairjockey and the title should go together. ok, maybe i should comb my hair.

  • I like it. I think there is too much white space on the left. I think the floral stuff with the shadow needs more refining. Is the shadow supposed to be the gutter between book pages? If so, there needs to be a bit ore bend to the pages.
